Kevin Adams–Senior Pastor
Kevin grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan and served as pastor in Minnesota before starting Granite Springs Church in 1991. He’s moonlighted as a soccer coach, backpacker, wannabe Tour de France cyclist, college and seminary professor, and church planting consultant. He and his wife Gerry (28 years!) have three children–two in college and one in high school. He’s authored The Book That Knows You (2009) and 150: Finding Your Story in the Psalms (2011). He serves as the New Church Development Specialist for Central California and as director of the Sierra Leadership Network, a training program for new church leaders.

Doug Bouws–Pastor of Hospitality
Doug came to Granite Springs Church in the summer of 2001 for a year long internship. Upon seminary graduation, Granite Springs invited Doug to do a church planting residency at Granite Springs. After two years, the plan was for Doug to start a new church in the South Placer area. That two years helped Doug and Granite Springs realize that he fit best right here at Granite Springs Church. In 2004, Doug became Granite Springs’ Pastor of Hospitality. Wearing a variety of hats, Doug leads teams of deacons, small group leaders, children’s ministry volunteers and teams for hospitality, connecting and stewardship.
In his spare time, Doug likes to snow ski, hike, fish, camp, work in the yard, and play on his Ipad. Doug and Sheri were married in June of 2000. Doug is grateful to be married in 2000, because he never has to think about what number anniversary he is on. Doug and Sheri have three young children—all girls!

KJ Van Ek–High School Youth Leader
KJ grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan… far, far away from the Golden State of California. During the summer after his junior year at Calvin College, KJ spent 10 weeks serving as an intern at Granite Springs hoping to discern a pull he was feeling towards ministry. He recently graduated from Calvin with his B.A. in Psychology and planned to attend Calvin Theological Seminary in the Fall of 2011. However, after receiving a call from Granite Springs, he decided to join the staff there as an Interim High School Youth Leader. KJ loves God and people (especially the good people at Granite Springs!). He also loves teens, the Lincoln/Rocklin area, the awesome Californian culture, and is really excited to be able to serve the community at Granite Springs.
