Annual Coat Drive led by Friends Reaching Out. 1

On Saturday October 22, people from Granite Springs Church delivered 490 gently used coats to residents in the Gardenland Northgate neighborhood of Sacramento.  Those 490 coats were quite amazing!  Three members of Granite Springs teach in area elementary schools.  Those teachers turned over lost and found leftovers at the end of the school year.  Others of you donated your kids’ coats that they have outgrown over the past few weeks and months.  When the three vans from Granite Springs pulled up last week at the Greenhouse Harvest Festival (in Gardenland Northgate), people surrounded the cars.  At the end of the day, only 30 coats were left over.  Visit to see pictures of this great event!
