So we hiked the wilderness for a day to see what the Israelites walked through. It was very different than I imagined. Next day we hiked up mount Timna to understand what it was like for Moses to hike up to get the ten commandments and have to do that hike several times. We came across a shepherd boy named Muhhamad who in his understanding of hospitality gave up his entire lunch to a bunch of Americans even though he would have nothing to eat for that day. Makes you think twice about what hospitality should look like. Today we hiked Masada and swam in the dead sea. People that see us think we are the weirdest tourist who pay money to go hiking through random places. And tomorrow I hear we are hiking some more.
