Exploring the Way is a short-term, interactive class of 7 weeks using the book Exploring the Way: An Introduction to the Spiritual Journey.
March 14 – April 25
Wednesday Evenings 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Meeting in the Adult Ed room at Granite Springs Church
The class is offered for those interested in practicing ways of growing in awareness of who they are in God’s presence – beloved children with lots of potential! Information will be offered, but the reward will come as each person participates in discussion, does the exercises and shares personal experiences within a caring community as each one feels comfortable. There will be homework of 1-2 hours during the week. The spiritual practices we will experience are journaling, sharing spiritual journeys, lectio divina, breath prayer, holy listening and daily examen.
Comments from prior class participants:
“This class introduced me to specific ways to experience more of God’s presence in my life.”
“I found encouragement on my spiritual journey as I listened to others share their experiences with the spiritual practices introduced in the class.”
Margaret Dobbs is the facilitator for the class. Hopefully there will be a good mix of men and women, with or without a spouse, and ranging in age from thirties through seventies. Contact Margaret at 916-408-1558 or firstname.lastname@example.org express your interest on the blue card in the Sunday worship folder.
