What to Expect
Casual & Comfortable
At Granite Springs we think you’ll find a casual, comfortable community that seeks to have a renewing conversation with God every week. God welcomes us as we are, and so you’ll find everything on a Sunday morning from people dressed in suits to shorts and a t-shirt.
Historic & Creative
Our worship flows from the words and life of Jesus, the teaching of the Bible, and the practices of the Christian church through the ages. God initiates and we respond in a dialogue that includes prayer (especially Psalms), teaching from the Bible, Communion, and a blessing to serve God in the world.
We celebrate music as a good gift from God that shapes us and helps us revel in his grace, beauty, and truth. Our music borrows from the church in all times and places – global, ancient, and modern. We sing Psalms that bring words when we have none, hymns loved by our Christ-following ancestors, and songs by voices both old and new.
It’s All About Grace
You’ll hear people recite the Apostle’s Creed from memory, as they have done since they were children, and you may hear people fall silent as they think deeply about whether this whole idea of church is for them.
But we hope what you see most clearly is the grace of Jesus Christ. This grace says, “You’re not good enough, so stop trying. You are mine, I forgive you, and I love you. Welcome home.”
