Missions 2016 – Joyce Pope

This was my first mission trip and I had no idea what to expect. I was out of my comfort zone. I trusted that God would help me show His love as I joined with other Christians to build a house for a needy family. It was such a pleasure to meet the Munguia family and see the joy on their faces as they received the key to their new house. Seeing the two young boys working right along side of us was such a blessing for me. It was also wonderful to see couples and entire families participate together in the YUGO ministry. Lastly, I thought a lot about the “fruit of the Spirit”, all of which we need to work together in harmony to show others the true character of God.

Thanks to my new friends for sharing this experience with me!

  1. Thank you Joyce for sharing these comments with us. I’m glad you had the courage to go to Mexico and that you continue to be blessed by the experience and the new friends.
